The Hospital has been&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;located on State Street in New Haven for almost 40 years and with this move will be more than doubling its size and providing a long list of subspecialty services including but not limited to orthopedic surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, radiology and critical care. Construction on the new hospital has recently begun with an&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;anticipated move in date of October 2013.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;<br />&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;“We are excited to have the opportunity to build a new facility that will allow us to grow the services that we offer to pets from all over Connecticut,” said Ken Aldrich, Hospital Director. “Our focus will be to work with veterinarians and pet owners all over the state to provide the care to continually improve pets’ lives.”&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;<br />&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;Central Hospital will not be providing any routine care for pets. “We are similar to a human hospital. We have our emergency room and specialists and pet owners are usually referred to us by their regular veterinarians. It is incredibly important for pet owners to bring their pets in to see their own veterinarian,” said Ken Aldrich. “Pets don’t have to see us often, but when the need is there, we are here.”&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;<br />&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;The Central Veterinary Hospital has been looking to move into a new facility for many years but could not find the proper location until now.
