O,R&L Supports 2011 Celebrity Mascot Games at Orlando's Amway Center

Winter Park, Fla. – O,R&L Facility Services, an Orange County-based facility management and maintenance company, is sponsoring this year’s Celebrity Mascot Games by providing complementary staff and labor for the event. An annual tradition, the competition will take place July 29-30 at the Amway Center in Orlando.

More than 15,000 fans will cheer on 30 mascots from the NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA as they complete in gladiator-style games.

“Long before our work with Orlando Venues, we’ve supported the City and its programs,” said Bob Owens, president and CEO of O,R&L Facility Services. “Whether it’s a Magic game at the Amway Center … or an off-Broadway show at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center, we’re not only showing our support as attendees, we’re behind the scenes every step of the way. It’s an honor to be involved in the Celebrity Mascot Games and we look forward to cheering on Stuff!”

Proceeds from the event benefit New Hope for Kids, an Orlando-based nonprofit organization. Donations will help children who are suffering from life-threatening illness and provide grief support for those who have lost a family member. Since its inception, New Hope has granted more than 3,000 wishes, focusing on the children of Central Florida. Since the first Mascot Games in 1992, the competition has raised nearly $300,000.
