O,R&L provides comprehensive building maintenance services for Florida Hospital’s new Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes (TRI)in Orlando, Florida.
The 45,000 square foot TRI is a joint venture between Florida Hospital and Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. The facility is dedicated to the study of obesity, metabolism, diabetes and the metabolic origins of cardiovascular disease.
O,R&L’s services include general housekeeping and terminal cleaning services for the following areas:

• Examination & procedure space
• Two 27,000 liter whole-room calorimeters
• Eleven room overnight research unit
• 3-Tesla MRI
• Full research kitchen
• 3,000 sq. ft. Biorepository
The Translational Research Institute is currently in consideration for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Gold LEED - new construction certification. O,R&L’s sustainable cleaning program, which incorporates the use of Green Seal certified products, low impact cleaning equipment, supplies and sustainable cleaning methods is specifically designed to assist the Institute in attaining critical points needed to complete the LEED Gold certification process.
